The Making of The Accountant's Story

Behind the Scenes

Kila Boy. Dead.

The script monkeys.

In the tradition of Sleepless, "The Accountant" segment includes guns, violence, incompetent law enforcement officers, and a bathroom scene. But few know the true story behind the show.

>From the first day our script monkeys pounded out the script, bad luck followed this production.

The director, our own crew member and nationally-ranked water-skier Sam Gnossos got his turn behind the camera only after the original guest director was incapacitated in an unfortunate hiking accident.

The extensive stop motion clay animation became problematic during the unfortunate "when-that-guy-ate-the-clay-figurines" incident. Then, lack of rain made it next to impossible to hydrate the giant moist sponge required in key scenes. (The claymation and sponge were later dropped due to lack of interest.) Finally, the entire segment had to be scrapped when astute Vertov staff noticed it too closely resembled a recent skit on public access comedy show "SuperScrew."

Within days the story was re-written by the director himself and production resumed, this time backed by funding from crack cocaine distributors in return for product placement consideration.

The script monkeys were reprimanded and given ten demerits, to which they responded by throwing their own waste about the room.

This security guard kept the riffraff off the set.
